Day 9 - Going home

This is the last day of the festival. The plan was to leave on Monday after the festival, but Jurgen had enough of it. So we left that evening after Slayer. We left Roskilde at 8pm and 12 hours later we were at Lichtervelde.

Here are some graffiti pic's from the festival.

Day 7 - Roskilde festival par 4

Our batteries were flat so we don't have much pictures of this day. But this day was Jurgen's day. Thats all we need to say.

orange stage

This is Mogwai playing and Jurgen liked it.

Day 6 - Roskilde festival par 3

Alright, finally lets see some bands. This is the main orange stage, maybe some of you will recognize this stage.

While waiting for the first band to show up we had some time to do a little nap.

nappy time

After that Steven was back to the living and did a Steelant move. Look how happy a man can be.

This was the first band we saw that day. Some crappy Danish hip hop band.

Steven met his bodyguard for that night. Say hellow to Fingers.

Hopefully next year I don't see a poster titled Jürgen from Lichtervelde.

woeps

We fell a sleep right in front of the main stage and we were surrounded by hundred die hard fans. We had no clue who was playing in a minute. Then we heard it was Radiohead coming up. It was time for us to get out!

out

Nappy time was over time for some rock'n roll.

rock'n&roll

Later that night Jürgen met some Swedish girl(they are not all blond, but she has beautiful eyes). He looks more like a lobster hungry for fish.

At the background you can hear The Hellacopters playing. If you watch closely you can see that lobster man is having fun.

Day 5 - Roskilde festival par 2

The second day at the festival, still no bands playing today , the actual festival starts tomorrow, so that gave us some time left to explore the field.

Just to get the crowd busy they organized some activities during the day.

Some carnaval.

Some guys copied the main orange stage in mini and played at the camping.

There was a skate contest in the afternoon but first we got ourselves some supplies. The funny thing was that for 1 Tuborg(33cl) you paid 22DKK (3€), but if you bought 24 Tuborgs you only had to pay 155DKK (22€) then it was less then 1€ for a beer. Ow and the beers were also ice cold, but in that hot weather we really had to drink very fast to get 24 beers consumed before they got hot. We did our best :)

Day 4 - Roskilde festival par 1

Finally we arrived at the festival.

Roskilde festival is not like any other festival we have ever done and trust me have done some festivals in our live. ( that sounds cool ooooh )

First we set up our flower power camping caravan.

flower power

Steven was a bit confused after seeing a sea of orange tents.

Arriving at the entrance of the festival , the first thing we saw was this.

One of the many great things about Roskilde were that you didn't have to queue for nothing. No checking on the entrance for cans or bottles or happy things. After a moment we knew why, you could buy anything on the festival.

What Roskilde festival also claims for is a clean festival. Everybody, not everybody offcourse that would be silly, was constantly cleaning up the place.

Did we mention that the sun was shining at high temperature?
